Tom Lawson was born in West Virginia. He took his degree in Economics at Yale, and worked with Proctor & Gamble and Time Inc in the US. He came to Australia and 1964 and decided to stay. Some 30 years ago, while on a consulting assignment, he fell in love with Perth. He became an Australian citizen in 1969. His career as an international management consultant kept him overseas most of those years, but Perth has always been home.
In this book he applies his skills and experience with large organisations to the seemingly intractable problem of law and order in the West.
