Escape from the City traces the journey of a couple who left a stressful, though secure and familiar city lifestyle, to live a simple life in the bush. Venturing into unknown territory, they bought a derelict farm near Nannup in the southwest of Western Australia, then invited their three sons and families to join them. In their innocence they set forth on a perilous journey of discovery: farming, building a house, and establishing a fruit winery and restaurant.
